Privacy notice
This explains what personal data we hold, where we got it, why we are allowed to use it and how to make us stop. It applies to people we contact about their business as well as to anyone who contacts us.

Who we are
Gator Labs Limited is the data controller. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 16767828, at Suite 6, 2nd Floor, Springfield House, Wilmslow, SK9 5BG. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under reference ZC124404. You can reach us at josh@gatorlabs.co.uk or on 07497 105296.
What we hold and where it came from
We hold business contact details: a name, a job title or role, the company it relates to, and a business phone number or email address. We also hold what a public record says about that business, such as the date something was filed or registered, and a note of any conversation we have had with you.
Most of it does not come from you. It comes from public sources, which currently include Companies House, the non-domestic energy performance certificate register, the Valuation Office Agency rating list, Food Standards Agency food hygiene ratings, local authority planning portals, Land Registry commercial and corporate ownership data and OS Open UPRN. Some of it comes from a company’s own website. Some of it comes from you, if we speak.
We do not buy contact lists and we do not hold special category data.
Why we are allowed to use it
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests. Our interest is identifying businesses that appear to need a service and introducing them to a supplier who provides it. We have weighed that against your rights and concluded it is reasonable because the data concerns you in a business capacity rather than a private one, it is limited to contact details already published or publicly available, and you can object at any time and we will stop.
Where we call you, we screen the number against the Corporate Telephone Preference Service first, and against the Telephone Preference Service where the number belongs to a sole trader or a partnership. Where we email you, we rely on the business to business exemption in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, and every message identifies us and offers a way to opt out.
Who else sees it
If you tell us you want the service and you agree to be introduced, we pass your details to one supplier so they can contact you. We tell you who they are at the time. We do not pass your details to more than one supplier and we do not sell them on to anybody else.
We use service providers to run the business, including hosting, email delivery, a scheduling tool and a database. They process data on our instructions only.
How long we keep it
Contact details we have not used and you have not responded to are reviewed and deleted within twelve months. Records of an introduction are kept for six years, because they relate to a commercial transaction we may need to account for. If you ask us to stop contacting you we keep the minimum needed to honour that request, which is your contact details on a suppression list, and we keep those indefinitely because deleting them would mean contacting you again by mistake.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, and object to us using it at all. Because we rely on legitimate interests, an objection to direct marketing is absolute: if you object, we stop, and we do not need to weigh anything up.

How to stop hearing from us
Reply to any call or email and say so, or email josh@gatorlabs.co.uk. You will be removed and added to a suppression list so you are not contacted again by mistake. You do not have to give a reason.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. We measure page views with Vercel Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors. Booking a call opens Cal.com, which loads only when you choose to open it and sets what it needs to run the booking.
Complaints
Tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
